1960

The Army Times give very high praise to General William’s MAAG group in Saigon saying it might be “the finest there is.”

1965

Ambassador Taylor reports that Prime Minister Quat is refusing to accept the deployment of over U.S. troops to South Vietnam.

1971

Vietnam veterans toss more than 700 medals onto West steps of the Capitol building protest the War. Anti-war organizers claim that 500k attended

1972

The 3rd rush of the NVA Easter Offensive kicked off in the Central Highlands. Over a full division of NVA attacked a division of ARVN at Tân Cảnh Base. By the time the sun went down on 24 April, the NVA had taken control of Tan Canh and Dak To II Base
