New monument dedicated at New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Memorial

HOLMDEL- A new monument honoring both American and South Vietnamese service members who battled alongside one another in the Vietnam War made its debut at the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans Memorial on April 30, 2016.

“The veterans of the Republic of South Vietnam not only fought for freedom, but lost many friends and loved ones in the war,” said Bill Linderman, executive director of the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans’ Foundation, after the ceremony.

“They then had to escape from their enemies and bring their families to America. We’re proud of their achievements and the opportunity to pay tribute by dedicating this monument.”
