1962

Sen. Wayne Morse states criticism of the War. “no evidence which convinces me that it would be militarily wise to get bogged down anywhere in Asia in a conventional war.” stated Morse in a public quote.

1964

AU Minister of Defense states that the AATTV (Australian Army Training Team Vietnam) was soon to see an increase and days later it did. The rise was to 83 advisers and their roles expanded.

1969

Pres Richard Nixon meets with S. Vietnamese President Nguyen Van Thieu on in the Pacific on an island. The reason for this meeting is to announced that 25,000 U.S. troops will be withdrawn as soon as possible.
