1964

Confronted with extensive protesting, Gen Khánh suddenly stepped down as Prime Minister of South Vietnam on Aug 25th, came back to control as a component of a triumvirate on 27th then fled Saigon to take shelter in Da Lat on the 29th. In Saigon and different urban communities street fights broke out among students, Catholics & Buddhists. The National Liberation Front aka Viet Cong, applauded this
